While it was a little warm for our first episode of The Chosen, we had a good turnout and fun time getting to know new friends and neighbors last Wednesday evening. In many ways, this series is more about the people chosen by Jesus to follow Him than it is about Him and what He said and did. It’s a film that everyone can relate to. To make that point, Jesus doesn’t even make an appearance in the first episode until the very end.
I knew it was coming and so I readied my phone to capture the moment. And I almost missed it because A) He’s not really very impressive by human standards and B) I was more amazed by the many fireflies that had decided it was time to start their amazing light display in the darkness of the tent! Often, something wonderful is right in front of us. We hope you’ll join us THIS WEDNESDAY NIGHT!
Remember, that just as most people in His time only encountered Jesus once or twice, you can join in The Chosen Watch Party at any time and not feel like you’ve missed the entire plot. Each episode is wonderfully self contained.
